Also:
• The header is always at the beginning of the file.
• The Hz-alignment file must always contain at least
two elements.
• The units and decimal places used in the WIs 11 and
72 are in accordance with the definitions in WIs 81
and 82.
• The chainage is produced from the sum of the
element lengths.
• A cross-sectional profile may be assigned more than
once.
• Geometrical elements can be combined freely, for
example as:
- Transition curve (straight - spiral - arc)
- Vertex spiral ( straight - spiral into curve
- spiral out of curve - straight)
Unusual applications are also possible:
- Breakpoint (straight - straight)
- Right-angle (straight - straight, or straight - 90°
arc - straight)
• There is no limitation on the size of the Hz-alignment
file. As a result, as many data blocks as required can
be entered if a file is created on the PC using the
DOS program "ROADDATA.EXE". If a file is
created/edited using the program "FILE EDITOR"
on the TPS1000 there is a limitation of 200 data
blocks.
Check your data for errors (typing errors, signs etc.)
before you load it into the memory card.
The program supports the user during the setting-out by
controlling the length of curves. It compares the length
of the element from the chainage (WI 11) with the
calculated main-point values, thus enabling input errors
in the chainage or in the coordinates to be detected.
However, the signs of arcs and of spirals are not
checked (see example below).
