2. SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
This section explains the system configuration to connect GX Developer and a safety
CPU.
For details of connection cable, refer to GX Developer Version 8 Operating Manual.
2.1 Connecting to Safety CPU
The following explains the system configuration when GX Developer is connected to
a safety CPU.
(1) Direct coupling to a safety CPU

Use the GX Developer Version 8.40S or later.

(a) Compatible GX Developer
Via QCPU:
Use the GX Developer Version 8.65T or later.
Via LCPU:
Use the GX Developer Version 8.88S or later.
Via safety CPU:
Use the GX Developer Version 8.98C or later.
(b) Compatible safety CPU
Via QCPU or LCPU:
Use safety CPU whose first 5 digits of the serial number are "10032" or
later.
Via safety CPU:
Use safety CPU whose first 5 digits of the serial number are "10042" or
later.
