Before adjusting the front brake, the front
brake linings should be checked.
NOTICE

Proper lever free play is essential to avoid
excessive brake drag.
1. Measure:
• front brake lever free play
Out of specification
→
Adjust.
2. Adjust:
• front brake lever free play
a. Loosen the locknuts .
b. Turn the adjusters in or out until the
specified front brake lever free play is
obtained.
TIP
Make sure that the difference between clear-
ances and is less than 2 mm when the
front brake lever is squeezed.
c. Tighten the locknuts.

the brake shoes as a set.
