The
alarm,
dispatching
("select
process"),
and
reconfiguration
state
fields
are
used
to
indicate
that
the
processor
has responded
to
that
type
of
signal
and
signalled
the
associated
Peripheral
Subsystem
via
interrupt.
Each has
the
following
organization.

Function
Request
Facility
Area -
The
function
request
facility
is
the
part
of
the
Interface
Processor
which
accepts
function
requests
and performs
the
requested
function.
The
function
request
facility
area
of
the
processor
data
segment
contains
a copy
of
the
processor-resident
information
related
to
the
current
or
nnst
recent
function
requested.
As
shown
below,
the
area
consists
of
five
contiguous
parts.
The
first
part
contains
the
process
selection
index
for
the
execution
environment
in
which
the
function
should be performed.
The
second
part
contains
the
function
state
information.
The
third
part
contains
the
op-aJde
of
the
operator
requested.
The
fourth
part
contains
the
operands
operated
upon
in
performing
the
requested
function.
The
fifth
part
is
used
to
record
the
result
of
the
requested
function.
