Removing/Installing the Back Canes

NOTE:Forthispr ocedur e,refertoFIGURE 10.3.

NOTE:Existinghardwar ewillbereused.

NOTE:Take note ofpositionandorientationofmountinghardwarefo rr einstallation.

Removing

1. Removethe twomountingscrews,wa shers*,cov edwashersandlocknutssecuringth e

canebracketstothebackcanesandinse rts.

*NOTE:Non‐TRROwheelchairshavefour washers

andTRROwhee lchairshavetwowashers.

NOTE:Theinsertwillfalloutofthebottomofthebackcane.Retainitforpr operinstallation.

2. Removethe backcanefromthebackcanebrackets.

3. RepeatSTEPS1‐2forth eoppositeside.

Installing

1. P ositiontheinsertinthebottomofthebackcane.

2. Rotatethe

insert untilthemountingholesalignwiththe backcanemountingholes.

3. Alignthemountingholesin thebackcanesandinsertswiththemountingholesinth e

canebrackets.

4. Installthetwomountingscrews,washers*,cov edwashersandlocknu tstosecurethecane

bracketstothebackcanes.

*NOTE:Non‐TRROwheelchairshavefour washersandTRROwheelchairshavetwowashers.

5. Torquethelocknutsto156in ‐lbs ±20%.

6. RepeatSTEPS1‐5forth eoppositeside.
