In order to meet the service needs of the BCBSGa physician network, BCBSGa has
assembled an experienced staff (consisting of Senior Network Specialists (SNS),
Network Specialists (NS), Network Representatives (NR) and administrative Support
associates) who are available to assist and support you to assure continued success in
this partnership.
The Senior Network Specialists (SNS) are the provider’s liaison with BCBSGa and are
responsible for physician recruitment, on-site orientation, on-going training, and
policy and procedure consultations. The SNSs will be in the field 80% of their time.
Please use their voicemail to communicate about service concerns or needs.
The Network Specialists (NS) support the SNSs and can answer questions regarding
network development and training in the absence of the SNSs. They will assist you
with questions regarding administrative policy and procedures, problem resolution
and service needs (including practice changes, etc.). The NSs are in the office 90% of
their time.
The Network Representatives (NR) support the SNSs and NSs by researching and
resolving member complaints, capitation payment issues, and provider grievances
and appeals. The NRs are in the office 95% of their time.
SNSs and NSs are assigned on a geographical territory basis. Geographic territories
are defined by county groupings.
