4 Get started
Charge the parent unit
Note
•
Make sure that the parent unit is disconnected from the
mains and turned off.
1 Remove the lid of the battery
compartment.
2 Insert the supplied rechargeable batteries
with the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
3 Reattach the lid.
4 Connect a supplied adapter to the parent
unit and to the mains socket to start
charging.
» During charging, the battery indicator
ashes green.
Tip
•
The rechargeable batteries only reach the full capacity
after you charge them for four times.
• For the rst 4 times, the charging time is 10 hours, and
the operating time is less than 24 hours.
• The normal charging time is 8 hours, and the normal
operating time is 24 hours.
Set up the baby unit
You can connect the baby unit to the mains or
insert non-rechargeable batteries to operate it.
For added reassurance, insert non-rechargeable
batteries to guarantee a backup in case of
power supply failure.
1 Before you connect the baby unit to the
mains socket, remove the lid of the battery
compartment.
2 Insert four non-rechargeable 1.5V R6 AA
batteries with the correct polarity (+/-) as
indicated.
3 Reattach the lid.
4 Connect a supplied adapter to the baby
unit and to the mains socket.
