For example, the Safe Embrace

Convertible Car Seat
and this manual are color-coded for easy setup, installa-
tion and use – follow blue for birth to 1 year
(6-30 lbs.) rear-facing and burgundy for
1 year and up (22-40 lbs.) forward-facing.
We’ve also equipped the Safe Embrace
®
Convertible
Car Seat with a tether strap for use in the forward-
facing position. Child restraint industry experts agree
that the use of a tether strap with a forward-facing car
seat significantly reduces the risk of head injuries in a
sudden stop or crash.
