When installingyour RC iSeries In-Wall Loudspeakers,be aware
of theweight o fyour particularmodel (seespecification pagefor
the w eightof yourmodel) andthe sturdinessof thematerial into
which youare i nstallingthe speaker.Also beaware ofany con-
cealed studs,electrical wiringor plumbingin thewall orceiling
into whichyou areinstalling thespeakers. Ifyou arenot sureof a
safe wayto i nstallthese speakers,consult aprofessional
installer, yourauthorized PolkAudio dealer,or a
building contractor.
If youplan toinstall yourRCiSeries speakerswhere water will
directly contactthem, itis advisableto usea siliconesealant or
caulk betweenthe frameofthe speakerand thewall surface.
This s ealshould preventwater fromgetting behindthe loud-
speaker andpossibly damagingthe wallsurface. Donot position
the speakerwhere watercan poolon thesurface ofthe woofer
cone ortweeter dome,as thiswill greatdecrease thespeaker’s
useful l ife(and everythingwill sound—glub!glub!—like it’s
coming fromunder water!).
