By default, the Ethernet management port is enabled on a standalone switch. The switch cannot route
packets from the Ethernet management port to a network port and the reverse.
Supported Features on the Ethernet Management Port
On a standalone switch, the Ethernet management port is enabled and supports only these features:
Network Assistant
Telnet with passwords
1 Advanced Management Module (AMM)
Note All of the AMMs in the enclosures lose connectivity to the stack members. Only
network administrators can manage the switch.
