Forward On No Answer
The Forward On No Answer feature allows you to forward all your calls to ring at another extension if
there is no answer at your extension after four rings. Alternatively, you can forward all external calls to an
external number if your extension has not answered after four rings.
From the Idle Menu, press the Scroll Down key () until “Forward” is displayed.
Select “Forward”.
Select “Forward On No Answer”.
Enter an internal number if you want to forward all your calls to another extension.
Enter 9 or 760 - 769 followed by an external number if you want to Forward calls to an external
number. A programming option is available to allow both internal and external calls (or external
calls only) to be forwarded externally. See below.
Press “Confirm” to accept the number.
To set a “Forward On No Answer” from a standard phone, the code is 734 followed by the destination
number.
Note: Forwarding an external call to an external number ties up two CO lines. Such calls are called trunk-
to-trunk calls. These calls are automatically disconnected after five minutes.
To Cancel Forward On No Answer
From the Idle Menu, press the Scroll Down key () until “Forward” is displayed.
Select “Forward”.
Select “Forward On No answer”. The forward is automatically canceled and the display returns to the
Idle Menu.
From a standard analog phone, dial 734 followed by the extension number to forward calls to another
extension. To forward calls to an external number dial 734 followed by the line access code (9, 760-769)
and the number that the calls are to be forwarded to. To cancel the forwarding, dial 734 and replace the
handset.
EXTERNAL FORWARDING
This allows you to decide if external callers, or external and internal callers, to your extension are
forwarded externally when you have set your extension to forward calls to an external number. It also
allows extensions to be prohibited from activating external forwarding.
To Restrict an Extension from Forwarding Calls to an External
Number
From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
Select “System Programming”.
Enter the System Programming Password and select “Extensions”.
Press the Scroll Down key () until “External Forwarding” is displayed.
Select “External Forwarding”.
Select “No Trunk To Trunk Calls”.
Select the extensions that are not allowed to activate external forwarding or set up trunk-to-trunk calls.
Press the speakerphone key to finish programming.
