PICTURE QUALITY
To select the picture quality for system-wide display and recording, there are several settings for the following options:
•Low
•Medium
High (default)
Figure 99. Picture Quality List Box
Every Endura encoder sends out two different quality streams, with two different resolutions, bit rates, and ips settings. For capturing and
recording video, the NVR automatically selects the highest quality stream. For displaying live video, the decoder displays the highest quality
stream, given the current workspace layout. Single and quad layouts display the same stream as the one being recorded; other layouts (nine and
sixteen) display a more compact stream, with a lower resolution and frame rate.
To set picture quality for an individual device, go to the Devices tab in the Setup screen. Click the camera you want to adjust, click the
Configuration tab on the right, and then select the desired picture quality setting (refer to Cameras on page 90 for more information).
Note that if you change the picture quality setting, all affected cameras will stop recording for up to five seconds. This pause will show up as a
gap in your search results for those cameras.
