Adding Phone Number
1. From the Windows NT desktop, double click My Computer and then double click
Dial-up Networking, the following screen appears:
2. Initially the phonebook will be empty, an entry is required, click OK New
Phonebook Entry Wizard appears.
3. Enter the Name of the new phonebook, which is appropriate for the site being
dialled, click Next to proceed to the Server screen:
4. Click to select "Send my plain text password if that's the only way to connect",
as shown in the Server screen, click Next to proceed.
5. Enter the phone number of the dial-up server you are calling, click Next to
proceed to the following screen:
6. Click Finish.
Using Dial-Up Networking
You are now ready to use the Dial-Up Networking.
1. From the Windows NT desktop, double click My Computer and then double click
Dial-up Networking, the following screen appears:
2. Ensure the Phone Number is correct, click Dial.
3. To disconnect a Dial-Up Networking connection, right-click the icon on the
Windows NT Taskbar, and then select Disconnect.
