Diagnostic LEDs
The PROFIBUS DP card has two LEDs, ST and DX,
visible on the communication card.
• The status of the PROFIBUS DP card is indicated by the
ST (status) red LED.
• The status of the PROFIBUS DP communication link is
indicated by the DX (data exchange) green LED.
The table below gives the meaning of the various states
of these two LEDs:

State Meaning Corrective actions in the event of malfunction
On
The card is in the "data exchange" state,
and error-free data exchange is taking place.
Off
No communication on the bus,
no data is being exchanged.
Check the connection to the PROFIBUS DP bus, start up the PLC.
State Meaning Corrective actions in the event of malfunction
Off
The card has been configured and its parameters
set correctly by the master.
flashing 0.5 s
The card is in Idle state, waiting configuration from
the master.
Enter an address value between 2 and 125 using the switches on
the option card.
flashing 0.1 s
The card is waiting parameters or waiting
configuration.
Check the connection to the PROFIBUS DP bus,
start up the PLC and, if the drive has a communication card
detected fault (CnF), reset it.
On
The card is in (ILF) detected fault mode. Check the connection between the PROFIBUS DP card and the
drive.
