Using the Versa-Tether
Consult your vehicle owner’s 1
manual for approved tether
anchorage locations.
Locate the tether on the back 2
of the child seat. Place the
tether components up and over the child seat back.
Install the child seat using the LATCH system or the vehicle seat 3
belts according to the instructions in this manual.
Lift the tether adjuster tab to release the tether straps, then pull 4
to fully extend the tether into a “V” shape.
Locate the hook on the strap. 5
Hook the tether to the vehicle’s designated anchor point (Fig. 6
A).
Pull the tether adjuster belt to remove all slack. 7
Verify that there is tension in the tether strap and that the child 8
seat is properly secured.
The child seat is secure when it cannot be moved front-to-back or side-to-s
side more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) at the belt path.

Attach the Versa-Tether only to tether anchors designated by your s
vehicle manufacturer as tether anchorage points. Use of other locations
is not approved or permitted.
Do NOT modify the vehicle without advice from the vehicle s
manufacturer if a tether anchor is not available.
Do NOT hook the Versa-Tether to the bottom of a vehicle seat s
adjuster.
Always use the Versa-Tether for children weighing more than 50 s
pounds (22.7 Kg).
Always use the Versa-Tether when installed in the lap-shoulder short-s
route mode of installation.

tether will improve the stability of your child seat and reduce the risk
of injury.

to your vehicle owner’s manual or contact your vehicle manufacturer
