9 Check that the vehicle belt is securely fastened.
9 Check that the child seat cannot be moved front to back or side to side more
than 1 in. (2.5 cm) at the belt path. If the child seat is not secure, repeat
installation or use a different seating location.
9 Check that the back angle of the child seat is 30º – 45º from vertical (not to
exceed 45º) when the car is parked on a level surface.
* If necessary, the proper recline angle can be achieved by placing a
rolled towel or pool noodle in the vehicle seat bight.
8 Rear-facing installations can be improved by the use of the
Versa-Tether (see pages 24 – 27).
9 Pull the buckle up through its appropriate slot in the cover.
10 Replace the cover and the belly pad.
