You can record an audio sound to add to the
original sound on a tape by connecting audio
equipment or a microphone. If you use the
VMC-LM7 adaptor (not supplied) to connect the
audio equipment, you can add a sound on your
recorded tape by specifying starting and ending
points. The original sound will not be erased.
You can only operate with the Remote
Commander.
When using an external microphone, connect it
to the MIC jack of the VMC-LM7 adaptor.
If you record the sound using the built-in
microphone, you do not need to connect the
VMC-LM7 adaptor.
Notes on audio dubbing
• A new sound cannot be recorded on a tape
already recorded in the 16-bit mode (32 kHz,
44.1 kHz or 48 kHz).
• When an external microphone is not connected,
the recording will be made through the built-in
microphone of the camcorder.
• A new sound cannot be recorded on a tape
already recorded in the LP mode.
• If you add a new sound on a tape recorded by
other camcorder (including DCR-PC7E), the
sound quality may become worse.
