Problem Solution
The unit does not respond to
some operating commands
during playback.
-Operations may not be permitted by the disc.
Refer to the instructions of the disc.
The unit cannot read BD /
DVD / CD.
-Condensation? (Let sit 1 or 2 hours)
-You are attempting to playback a disc other than
one with one of the marks on
page 21.
-Wipe the dirt off the disc or replace the disc.
Angle does not switch. - The angle cannot be switched for BD / DVD which do not contain multiple angles.
In some cases multiple
angles are only recorded for specific scenes.
Playback does not start when
the title is selected.
-Check the settings in “Parental menu.
The password for rating level
has been forgotten.
-Enter the default password “4737”, then your forgotten password will be cleared.
Cannot connect to the
network.
-Check if the LAN cable connection is properly made.
- Turn on the modem or broadband router.
-Check the network setting.
-Check if the broadband router and/or modem is correctly connected.
-Check the “BD-Live Setting”.
Cannot connect to the
network while my PC is
connected to the
network.
-Check the content of your Internet service contract to see if your Internet service
provider prevents multiple terminals connecting at the same time.
The capacity of the SD card
decreased.
-Data may be written to the SD card when a BD-video that supports the virtual
package is used and an SD card is in the slot.
Cannot use the BD-Live
function or download of data
does not perform properly.
-Insert an SD card with enough capacity (1GB or more).
-Check if an SD card is correctly inserted.
-Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD card is not enabled.
Cannot play back BD-video
(BD-ROM Profile 2.0).
-Insert an SD card(1GB or more) which is formatted on this unit.
Some discs with BD-Live function require memory when playing back the content.
-Do not remove the card during p layback.
-Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD card is not enabled.
Folder or files stored on DLNA
home media server are not
displayed in the file list or
cannot be played back.
-Check the setting on your home media server. (Refer to the owner's manual of the
home media
server.)
-Check the network connection and settings.
“HDCP NOK” appears on the
front panel display.
“HDCP NOK” appears under the following conditions:
-When the connected device does not support HDCP.
-When the connected device is recognised as an HDCP incompatible by HDMI SRM.
-When the connected device supports HDCP but
cannot be recognised as an HDCP
compatible for some reason.
The BD player contains a microcomputer for signal processing and control functions. In very rare situations, severe
interference, noise from an external source, or static electricity may cause it to lockup. In the unlikely event that
this
happens, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, wait at least 5 seconds, and then plug it back in again.
Note
Some functions are not available in specific modes, but this is not a malfunction. Read the description in this
manual for details on correct operations.
Some functions are prohibited on some discs.
