Turning on the Camera
The camera is turned on and off by means of the power switch.
q Open the LCD monitor and press the
power switch.
The camera will turn on.
To turn the camera off, press the power
switch again.
Tips
Auto Power Off
The camera will turn off automatically (auto power off) to conserve
the battery if it is left idle (no buttons or switches operated) for a
preset time. To resume use, turn the power on again.
The auto power off feature does not function when the camera is
powered by an AC adapter.

Selecting a Shooting Mode
The camera offers five shooting modes ( • • • • ). Select the
mode best suited to your photographic needs.
