Resetting the conguration
The CPU IP asks for an unknown admin password
This may occur if the CPU IP has been previously congured. If the existing
admin password cannot be discovered, then your only recourse is to perform a
factory reset.
To invoke a conguration reset by switch
1 Remove power from the CPU IP unit.
2 At the rear of the CPU IP, adjacent to the power input socket, click mini
switch 1 to its ON (down) position.
3 Re-apply power to the CPU IP. On the locally connected monitor you should
see a Maintenance menu:

4 Select the ‘Reset conguration’ option.
A warning screen will be displayed. Select the RESET option and press .
5 Remove power, return the mini switch 1 to its OFF position and then re-
apply power. The locally connected monitor should display the rst screen of
the initial conguration sequence.
The CPU IP does not display the conguration sequence
If the CPU IP has been previously congured it may not automatically display the
rst of the setup screens. In this case you have two options, either:
• Access the Unit, Network and Serial conguration screens separately, or
• Reset the conguration:
To invoke a conguration reset by main menu
1 Using the locally connected keyboard and screen, log on as the admin user.
2 Select the ‘Conguration’ option.

3 Highlight the ‘Reset conguration’ option and press .
A warning screen will be displayed, select the RESET option and press .
