The cut-sheet feeder feeds more than one sheet at a time.
Cause What to do
You may have loaded too
many sheets in the bin.
Remove some sheets. The
high-capacity feeder (bin 1) can hold
up to 150 sheets of standard bond
paper, 40 single-sheet multi-part
forms, 25 plain or bond envelopes,
30 airmail envelopes, or 50 postcards.
The second-bin feeder (bin 2) can hold
up to 50 sheets of standard bond paper.
Sheets of paper are stuck
together.
Remove the paper stack, fan it, and
then reload it.
Paper feeding is crooked.
Cause What to do
The right and left paper
guides are too far apart.
Position the paper guides to match the
width of your paper.
The paper is old or creased. Use only new, clean sheets of paper.
You may not be using the
right type of paper for the
cut-sheet feeder. For example,
your paper may be too heavy
or too light.
Make sure your paper meets the
requirements of your printer and
cut-sheet feeder. See the paper
specifications and the optional
cut-sheet feeder specifications in
Appendix A.
When the printer ejects the paper, the
Paper Out
light flashes
and the
Pause
light comes on.
Cause What to do
The printer has not fully
ejected your paper.
Remove the paper by hand; the
Paper Out
light goes out. Press the
Pause
button to resume printing.
