Section 4 - Access Point Mode
Access Point Mode
This section describes the conguration interface for Access Point
mode. Make sure that the mode selector switch is in the Router/
AP position on your DIR-505.
Otherwise, the main conguration screen will appear. If the
DIR-505 is in Router mode, you will need to click on Manual
Internet Connection Setup, select Access Point for your
Operation Mode, then click the Save Settings button to switch
to Access Point mode.
If this is your rst time conguring the DIR-505, open your web
browser and type http://dlinkrouter in the address bar. You will
automatically be directed to the Wizard Setup Screen. For more
information, refer to “Initial Setup Wizard (Router/AP Mode)” on
page 15.
If the Setup Wizard does not appear, type http://dlinkrouter in
the address bar.
