BLEEDING INSTRUCTIONS:
Thoroughly test the Jack for proper 4.
operation prior to its actual use. If
the Jack appears not to be working
properly, it may be necessary to
purge air from the hydraulic system.
To do so:
Move Valve Release Lever to lower a.
the Saddle to Position D. The Lever
must remain here to keep the pres-
sure Release Valve open. (See Fig.
2.)
Remove the two Screws (8.5), lo-b.
cated just behind the Lift Arm (7.6),
holding on the Cover Plate (8.1) in
place.
The Cover Plate can then swing up c.
on the Hinge Rivets (9.2) (the Hinge
Rivet is the Cover Plate’s pivot point
just in front of the Handle), like the
hood of a car.

Oil Filler Plug (9.1)
d. Carefully remove the Oil Filler Plug
(9.1) with a 22 socket wrench, mak-
ing sure not to lose the at copper
washer with it. (See Fig. 4.)
Top off the hydraulic reservoir with e.
fresh hydraulic jack uid to a point
just below the oil Filler Plug (9.1)
orice.
Pump the Foot Pedal (2.1) ten to f.
fteen times in rapid succession.
Top off the hydraulic oil if required. g.
Clean off the Oil Filler Plug (9.1) with h.
a clean cloth and thread back into
the oil ll orice.
Wipe area surrounding the Oil Filler i.
Plug with a clean cloth.
Let the Handle Lever (1.4) return to j.
Position C, allowing the pressure
valve to close. (See Fig. 2.)
Lower the Cover Plate back down k.
and re-install the two Screws secur-
ing it.
IMPORTANT: After bleeding the Jack,
test for proper operation prior to
its actual use.
NOTE: To prevent damage to the Jack,
check for the presence of air and/or
low hydraulic oil regularly.
WHEN STORING, 5. move the Handle
to an appropriate angle, such
as vertical, and move the Valve
Release Lever (1.4) to Position C,
locking the Handle, preventing it
from accidentally falling and causing
possible injury or property damage.
Always6. store the Jack with its Handle
locked, and its accessories in a
clean, dry, safe location out of reach
of children and other unauthorized
people.
