3 You'll probably have to remove the base and all from the car and take it inside unless it's nice out where you are and flip the seat completely upside down and look for small toys food coins anything that would be small enough to fit inside the reclining track. While it's still upside down Push the button and instead of trying to make it recline pull it hard forward in case something is lodged in there and then try to pull it into the reclining position. If that does not work, return the car seat to where you got it for return and also call the 800 company complaint line and let them know of the issue.
