Uninstall Driver
To uninstall the driver, insert the driver CD and
double-click DrvUnin on the CD. Then follow the on-
screen instructions to uninstall the driver.

Cable from RadioShack. Please read this user’s guide
before installing, setting up, and using your product.
Driver CD
Windows 98SE / Windows ME users must install the
supplied driver before making your connections. Insert the
supplied CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.
Notes:
• The installation and setup steps are consistent for all
supported versions of Windows. If you notice a difference,
follow the on-screen instructions.
• No driver CD is required for Windows Vista, Windows XP
and Windows 2000 users.
Step 2: Set Up Your Printer
1. Turn off your printer. Plug this printer cable into your
printer’s 36-pin socket.
2. Turn on your computer. Click Start Settings
Printers.
3. Right click the default installed printer and click Properties.
The properties dialog box of the installed printer appears.
4. If you are a Windows 98SE/Windows ME user, click
Details, and change the printer port to LPTn: RadioShack
USB to Parallel Printer Cable (where ‘n’ denotes a
number which varies depending on your system).
If you are a Windows 2000/Windows XP user, select
Ports. Click USB001 (Virtual printer port for USB), and
then click OK.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the
installation and also run Print Test Page to see if it prints
without problems.
Step 1: Connect USB Plug
Plug the cable’s USB plug into the computer’s USB port. Your
computer automatically detects the cable.
Windows Vista Users:
Installing device driver software appears at the taskbar.
When installation is complete, Your devices are ready to use
displays.
Windows 2000 / Windows XP Users:
Windows detects the RadioShack USB to Parallel Printer
Cable device. USB Printing Support displays briefly. The
driver installation is completed.
Windows 98SE / Windows ME Users:
After the CD is installed, RadioShack USB to Parallel Printer
Cable displays. When you see the Add New Hardware
Wizard screen, click Next and follow the on-screen
instruction to continue. When complete, click Finish.
This printer cable lets you
connect a printer with a
traditional IEEE-1284 parallel
interface to a USB interface.
It is compatible with most
printers that have a 36-pin
socket. The cable uses single
chip (ASIC) USB for full speed
communication and is both
USB Specification Rev. 1.1 and
IEEE-1284 1994 compliant.
